Further to our article of the 4th February this year (read HERE) the High Court case between Azzurro Associates and two guarantors with respect to personal guarantees purchased by Azzurro from Funding Circle was resolved by settlement with the guarantors paying £310k on what was a £260k liability.
As the matter was settled, there will be no case summary as a judge has not had to rule on the matter
Both Azzurro Associates and Funding Circle have for the most part been slowing down their collection process pending the outcome of this action.
Given the outcome, the floodgates are likely to open again as both Azzurro Associates, through their solicitors Solaris Law and through debt collection companies including Shire Recoveries, and Moorcrofts are likely to want to focus on a backlog of debt collection.
