There is a little known European Investment Fund (EIF) which has been behind some of the secondary lending market finance that has been made available and is different from the loans provided under the EFG (Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme) under a UK government scheme managed by the British Business Bank.
EIF backed funding does not afford the same support as the EFG with respect to residential property and other elements of protection regarding Personal Guarantees that are provided.
